What is traditional stained glass painting?
Traditional stained glass painting is a meticulous and fascinating technique that involves the mixing of leaded pigments to create a fusible, lead-based paint. This paint is then applied to the glass surface, allowing you to add intricate details and decorative elements to all stained glass designs. The paint quickly dries on the glass surface, and is placed in a kiln to be extensively heated over a period of several hours. Once fired, the painted image becomes permanently fused to the glass, resulting in a stunning and enduring work of art that showcases the artist's mastery of this time-honored craft.
